Claude Houston “Steve” Tinsley, III, age 75, passed away on September 5, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas.
He was born February 15, 1936, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Claude and Dorcas Tinsley. A longtime California resident, Claude was a graduate of UCLA where he was Captain of the Crew team.
He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. In 1980, he retired from the Air Force at Castle Air Force Base.
Steve was an avid traveler who traveled all over the world. He will be remembered as a good guy, great friend, and an all around nice guy who never spoke ill of anyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Connie McKelvey of California; daughter, Pamela Remeika and husband Major Michael Remeika, (Ret.) of Boston; daughter, Shannon Lee of Houston; and grandchildren, Morgan Lee and Travis Lee.
